Luke has been at Carbon Tracker over three years, helping the organisation grow from 2 members of staff to its current position. He has responsibility for a wide range of Carbon Tracker’s research topics including the global coal sector, scenario analyses, fossil fuel subsidies and research on the energy transition. Most recently, he has lead authored Carbon Tracker’s Lost in Transition report, the US coal crash and our analysis on China’s coal sector. He also worked on Carbon Tracker’s seminal 2013 report with the London School of Economics, Wasted Capital and Stranded Assets.
Luke has presented Carbon Tracker’s theses at high level events around the world, to key groups of investors and financial institutions, and to key regulatory bodies including teams at the European Commission. He brings climate change and environmental policy expertise from the Environmental Technology MSc at Imperial College London and a BSc in Geography.
